As I recover use of my damaged ankle and prepare for the PCT, I am doing easy re-conditioning hikes to some of my favorite mountains. I’ve now hiked Mt. Pierce (4,311 feet) 40 times, more than any other New Hampshire 4,000 footer. Because I was hiking solo, I was able to dawdle to my heart’s content, and what a day for it! I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. I did not know any of the people (or creatures) I photographed, but that’s part of the fun of being an amateur photo-journalist. Now, after our massive snowstorm the last 2 days, I’m looking forward to more snow filled photo frames before leaving in March for California!

Wow! Beautiful photos!
